Sunday Funday

Three miles this morning inside where it was warm on the treadmill. Two at 2.0 setting and the middel one at an incline of 9.0. I am working on making my short runs more benificial. The incline of 9 was tough!!!!

4/1

I am doing a terible job running and keeping up with this. It seems like EVERYTHING ELSE has priority over my running. I ran one mile yesterday and three today. I don't have to start training for the marathon until July, but I would like to increase my mileage and consistency. It feels good when I log 20 miles in a week and it has been a long time since I have seen those numbers. I am going to share this link with my friends to keep me motivated.

I have been drinking joint juice. It has glucosamine. Now I found out it can raise your cholesterol!! However; my joints never ache anymore....delemia

Monday 3/2

Yesterday, I ran two miles. I really need to start increasing my mileage and frequency in order to run a half marathon in June.

Today, my total mileage was 4.4....now that is progress!!!

Saturday 2/28

Since we are in class it reminds me to keep better track of my running and to use this blog more!! I have only run about ten miles in the last two weeks. I have let school and work "run" my life instead. I look forward to posting tomorrow.

Side note: My friend found a crocheting class for us to join...

Friday 1/30

I haven't run in days. I meant to this morning, but I got home late from Albany last night, cooked dinner, had a glass of wine and that was the end of that thought. I slept in until 8:30 and I realize I've been on the internet/doing homework for almost three hours. Now it is time to go to work. I feel the difference when I don't exercise and I don't like it. Tomorrow it is the gym and at a minimum two miles.

Monday 1/26

Two miles. I need new shoes. My feet are killing me. I don't think it is because of the running, since I'm not doing a lot of mileage, but it kills me to wear heels for longer than 5 hours. It may be the waitressing too though. I love any excuse to buy new shoes, but this is legitmate. I will get some over the weekend, probably light miles for the rest of the week.

Sunday 1/25 Four Miles

I ran four miles this morning! Then I even went back and lifted this afternoon. I'm glad that a blog is a class assignment because this can be another motivational tool for me. Provided that I let my friends know I am keeping my progress online.

Sunday 1/25

It is 8:30 and ten minutes ago I was dreading the thought of running. I've had my instant oatmeal and put in (much to my upstairs annoynace I'm sure) some really loud music to get me motivated. I find that singing and picking up around the house gets me in a better mood and therefore makes me not loathe the thought of heading out. Heading out is not outside because I cannot run in the cold. I can, but then my joints ache for days. I am only 25, I wonder how it will be if and when arthritis completely consumes me not just in the cold, or during large barometric changes, but all of the time. I hope there is a cure. My gym opens at 9 am on Sunday. technically, I am not begining any training program until Feb bc I don't need to, but I may as well find the joy in running again before I have to. Truth be told I have never regretted a run I did, only not going for one.

Seriously, I didn't like the idea of crocheting.

Priscilla thought it would be a good idea if WE learned to crochet. I counter attacked with the idea of us running a marathon. Now I have to do both.
